Reverence in Madison was a lot of fun and, as always, it was a pleasure to be involved with one of the best parties in the midwest. I’ll see you there again next year.
Green Bay was also a lot of fun. Big thanks to Chuck and Kat for inviting me and being such great hosts, and also to all the new friends I made this weekend!
Pictures forthcoming as soon as anyone sends them to me…
Let me get bloggy for just a moment and tell you about some bands and Reverence. Every time I have sold merch for Null Device, the same thing happens. They play, and people get so taken with their catchy, well-crafted synthpop, then they rush the merch table for cds. This time was, of course, no exception.
Android Lust never fails to deliver live, either, and Shikhee’s powerful stage presence doesn’t hurt a bit.
I didn’t get to Madison for the preparty to hear Endif, but I do not plan to miss that again. So hot off the presses that I watched Jason open the box they were delivered in, his new cd is the sort of cross between IDM and Ant-Zen-ish industrial that won’t hurt your ears or bore you to death.
The Gothsicles put on a surprise performance, and along with Caustic brought some humor to the party.
Stochastic Theory is another band that I’m always excited to see. If you like bands like Saturday’s headliner Stromkern, then you’ll probably like them, too.
I had never seen C/A/T before, and I was impressed. Judging by others’ reactions, I was not alone.
And thus ends my assessment of Reverence. Wow those kids in Madison sure know how to party!
